TN Webbing is proud to add two new specialty webbing products to our extensive line of webbing inventory: weldable webbing and reflective webbing.
Weldable Webbing
We are also happy to offer PVC coated polyester 2” (1-7/8”) wide available in black or white and put up on 100 meter rolls. This material is ideal for tents, tarps, fabric structures, swimming pool covers, oil booms, inflatables, signs, billboards and banners. This high-quality PVC coated webbing may be bonded or welded using hot air or RF welding and can also be sewn like any textile.
We offer the most competitive price in the industry on weldable webbing.
Advantages of PVC webbing:
- strong and durable
- water resistant; no holes perforating the material from sewing
- reinforces and strengthens
- ease of production
Reflective Webbing
Reflective 2” polypropylene webbing is high quality black polypropylene webbing with 5 reflective strips woven through it. This reflective feature is useful where any night time safety is critical. In the freight industry, the reflective strips provide more visibility for flatbed trucks at night. Unlike van trailers, they are not covered in lights to make the trailer visible in the dark. This is a real hazard for other motorists on the roadway.
According to Auto Safety Expert, a leading voice on vehicle safety:
Conspicuity refers to the factors of (1) perceiving that something is on the dark road ahead, (2) identifying the object as a large truck, (3) appreciating the truck’s position and slower speed as a danger, and (4) stimulating you to take evasive maneuvers to avoid the imminent collision.
Many car-into-truck accidents occur in the dark of night, when a large tractor-trailer rig is pulling onto a road or backing into a driveway. Often, the tractor’s headlights are aimed toward the oncoming driver and they create a “wall of glare” that conceals the fact that the trailer behind it is stretched dangerously across the dark road ahead.
Danny,
I’m looking for some webbing to use on some aircraft gust locks for the control surfaces. I’m interested in seeing the specs for the weldable webbing. I need a material that is weather resistant and will be subject to extreme temperature changes. Can you please send me some information regarding the specialty webbing. Thank you.
